What comes to mind when you think of Christmas, New Year's or otherwise festive seasons?
Truthfully, I didn’t think about this much in the past. But ever since the founding of Offcut Factory [WHEN?], the festive season means waste season. Just from Christmas 2021 alone, we collected a staggering 4.5 tonnes of festive decorations and fittings, of which only 1.7 tonnes breathed an extension to life. Now, festive periods mean an ample opportunity to create good work and design for more conscious, waste-less gifting. Work aside, this time of the year is one that I look forward to spending a valuable amount of time with family, loved ones and not forgetting the always important - food!
