OUR NEW FLAGSHIP OPENS
The historic Joo Chiat neighbourhood draws you in with its vibrant character, a deep sense of community and a curious creative crowd. It is against this backdrop that we’ve opened IN GOOD COMPANY’s latest flagship—a new home we can settle into alongside other homegrown businesses.
Envisioned as a lifestyle space where visitors and neighbours can gather, discover or simply stay for a while, this outpost retains many of the shophouse’s original architectural elements: exposed brick walls and worn timber beams speak of the building’s heritage, and offer a canvas that will evolve over time as we welcome collaborators and community voices into the fold.
Pan Yi Cheng, founder of Type 0 Architecture, says his approach to the space was driven by the desire to create something akin to a home, rather than a store. This informed the understated hues that are applied throughout: “The colours stay warm and quiet, so that the clothes and the people wearing them become the colour in the room; nothing competes for attention.”
Adding to the character of our flagship is a curation of products by local businesses and creatives—a way for us to continue championing the independent spirit. Step through to the back of the first floor and you’ll also find MIURA, a tea and wagashi stand helmed by the team behind Paaru. This cosy corner is an open invitation to sit, take your time, and savour a slower rhythm.
Beyond just a store, our new home speaks of our conviction that a retail space can be a place of gathering and a platform for collaboration. This carries us into our next chapter, where growth becomes less about how many doors we open, and more about how many genuine connections we become a part of.
