FASHION for CANCER

FASHION for CANCER
The showcase was spearheaded by active ageing ambassador, grandmother of two and entrepreneur Ong Bee Yan, who is better known under the handle of @grey_evolution. Inspired by their resilience and desire to uplift others, Yan conceived the idea of a fashion show modelled by cancer survivors. For them, walking the runway was a dream come true, a celebration of life, and a symbol of strength and resilience.
Moved and inspired by her passionate call to aid, a collective of friends from the fashion, music, entertainment and production industries, sponsors and cancer survivors all came together to support this meaningful cause.
We bring you behind the scenes to this unique fundraiser/fashion showcase.

“Whether it was in cash, in kind or by way of their counsel and time invested, I am thankful for them hearing me out, and making my vision become a reality.” — Ong Bee Yan
Beyond showcasing the triumph of cancer survivors, the funds raised through the FFC Charity Fashion Show will be dedicated to two key efforts: 50% of the proceeds will go towards cancer research, testing and fostering advancements in the field. The remaining 50% will provide vital financial assistance to low-income individuals and their families to alleviate their financial burdens.
IN GOOD COMPANY would like to thank everyone who came forward without hesitation to give their time and efforts to support this event. Special mention goes out to Ingrid How (PR & Media), DJ KoFlow (Music), Sharon Tan (Stylist) and Philothea Liau (Planning) and the other Cancer Survivors/Models who were not credited above.
As part of the company’s “A Better Company” social initiatives, we hope to make a small impact by matching the proceeds raised through ticket sales. 100% of the tickets were sold and IN GOOD COMPANY has donated $20,000 via Fashion for Cancer’s official page on giving.sg.
For those who were unable to attend, you may still contribute by making a donation via the official Fashion of Cancer fundraising page here.
